With a busy schedule, you never know when you are going to get home super late and you’re tempted to grab the junkiest food in your kitchen. I’ve always searched for food that wouldn’t make me compromise my healthy lifestyle that I could eat late at night. So, I listed some of my favorite go-to midnight snacks under 200 calories.
Cereal
Okay, cereal isn’t the most non-processed food, but if you pick the right kind, it is low calorie and pair it with almond milk and you feel full and satisfied. I love buying Special K berries and eating them when I get home late or right before bed.
It is only 110 calories, 9g sugar, 3 fiber per serving and unsweetened almond milk adds about 30 calories.
Peanut Butter and Banana
Peanut butter is filling and packed with protein and bananas are full of fiber and vitamins. My favorite brand JIF natural peanut butter or almond butter. It will also keep you feeling full. I love eating this before bed because it is not junky and it makes me not so hungry anymore.
It is only about 200 calories per serving.
Yogurt
Yogurt is a good low-calorie snack, it has probiotics that are good for your gut health and it is a good source of calcium and protein. You can add fruit or granola on top for a healthy, filling midnight snack. Chobani Greek Yogurt and Bear Naked Granola are two of my favorites.
Under 200 calories.
Eggs
Eggs are filling, a good source of protein, healthy, and you can eat them in so many different ways. You can boil them or scramble them and they make for the perfect snack.
70 calories per egg.
Crackers and Cheese
Cheese is one of my favorite snacks. Low-fat cheddar cheese sliced up goes perfectly on top of whole wheat crackers and provides a good source of carbs and protein. My favorite crackers are either almond thins or wheat thins. Both are healthy options that will fill you up without sacrificing your calories.
Popcorn
Skinny Girl popcorn is my favorite brand. It is so good and it comes in the perfect single-size bags. It is filling and it is full of fiber. I love popcorn, especially at night.
If you come home late and are looking for a snack, these midnight snacks under 200 calories are the perfect ones to grab before bed!
