How To Tie Your Hair In A Bun

Putting your hair up with a tie is easy and convenient. But if you are not careful, you can easily damage your hair while putting it up with a hair tie. I keep my hair in protective styles 90% of the time because it helps with length retention.

What you will need:

  • Wide Tooth Comb
  • Detangling brush
  • Hair brush
  • Eco-Styler Gel
  • Edge Wax
  • Regular hair brush
  • Hair ties

6 EASY STEPS TO PUT YOUR HAIR UP WITH A TIE

The first step to putting your hair up with a tie is of course clean hair. It’s better to start with freshly washed hair.

The next step is combing the hair to ensure there are not knots present.

The third step is detangling the hair with a hair detangling brush. I love the one that you see in the picture because the front can be used as a comb, and it’s perfect for thick hair like mine.

The fourth step is brushing the hair with a regular brush. But, you need to add your styling gel before brushing the hair. By adding a hair wax around your edges, your style will not only last longer, it will also look neater.

The fifth step is gathering the hair and hold it with one hand to get it ready for the hair tie. It’s better to already have the hair tie around your wrist like I have it in the picture. This way you can pull it and wrap it around the hair. Make sure you twist the hair tie before wrapping it around the hair a second time.

The last step is fluffing the hair with your fingers to make sure the puff is nice and neat.
